Iron ladle refractories


Iron ladle is thermal equipment not only used for storing and delivering iron liquid in steel smelting mills, but also plays the role of refining iron liquid and keeping iron liquid temperature. Besides, iron ladle plays important role in coordinating iron smelting process, steel smelting process and iron liquid supply and demand. Iron ladles are usually lined by refractory bricks or casted by castable refractory.

Iron ladle alumina silicon carbide bricks feature in nice washout resistance, good molten slag corrosion resistance, high refractoriness under load, good thermal stability and so on.

Alumina silicon carbide bricks are mainly used at iron ladle wall, bottom and slag line part. For parts such as iron ladle tap hole, bottom, ladle rim and so on where bricks are not easy to be lined, castable refractory is a good choice. Alumina silicon carbide castable casted iron ladle lining features in strong slag corrosion resistance, good washing resistance, good thermal shock resistance and so on.

Alumina silicon carbide bricks and alumina silicon carbide castable are not only applied in iron ladles, but also applied in torpedo cars. They can greatly prolong iron ladle and torpedo car service life, so the smelting efficiency is greatly increased.
