Clay Fire Brick Description

 

Fire clay brick is a clay refractory product of aluminium silicate materials with 30%~40% content of Al2O3, fire clay bricks are made of 50% plastic clay and 50% hard clay chamotte according to certain grading requirement to be mixed and fired in the high temperature of 1300~1400℃ after molding and drying. clayfire bricks have various properties of strong chemical erosion resistance and thermal conductivity resistance, clay fire blocks are mainly used in the secondary position of coke oven, such as regenerative chamber regenerative chamber, fire door lining brick, furnace top and ascension pipe lining brick.

Clay Fire Brick Manufacturing Process

 

Clay fire block composition is kaolinite and 6% ~ 7% impurities, such as potassium, sodium, calcium, titanium, iron oxide. fire clay block is made from clinker clay by mixing, forming, drying, sintering and matching. In the firing process of the fire clay blocks, kaolinite decomposes generating mullite crystal, silicon dioxide and the aluminum react with impurities, forming the silicate, surrounding the mullite crystal.

According to application of fire clay blocks, whcih can be classified into fireclay bricks for blast furnace, clayfire block for hot blast stove and large scale clayfire blocks for glass furnace according to its application.
